Privacy Policy

What Anti Tear collects, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it.

1. Who we are

This policy explains what personal information Anti Tear (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the Anti Tear app or this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and how long we keep it. We’re based in the United States.

We collect what we need to run your licence, take payments and fix problems in the app. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Questions and requests: email support@yusatweaks.com or open a ticket in our Discord.

2. What we collect

When you sign in with Discord

You sign in with Discord in your browser. Anti Tear asks Discord only for your basic profile: your Discord user ID, username, display name and avatar. We never see your Discord password, and Discord doesn’t give us your email address.

Your licence

  • A machine ID for the PC that holds your licence. Anti Tear makes it on your PC from the ID Windows created when it was installed, run through a one-way hash (SHA-256), so that Windows ID itself never leaves your PC. It’s how a licence stays on one PC.
  • The PC’s name, as Windows shows it in Settings › System › About. We show it to you when your licence is on another PC.
  • When the PC was linked and when it last checked your licence.
  • Your plan, its status, and when it renews or ends.
  • A record of your free trial: your Discord user ID, the machine ID of the PC it started on, and when it started and ends. This keeps it to one trial per account and one per PC.

Anti Tear checks your licence with our server when it starts and every 6 hours. On your PC, the licence is kept in a file that Windows encrypts for your Windows account.

Payments

  • At checkout, Stripe collects your card details, email address, name and billing address. Card details go straight to Stripe: we never see or store your full card number.
  • From Stripe we receive payment records: the amount, the date, invoice and payment references, the email address on the invoice, and whether a payment was refunded or disputed. Your customer record at Stripe, with your name and billing address, is linked to your Discord user ID.

Error reports, on unless you turn them off

When something goes wrong, Anti Tear sends us a short report of the warning or error: what went wrong, which part of the app it happened in, and when. Each report also has your PC’s name, a random install ID that Anti Tear makes once, and the Anti Tear and Windows versions.

Error reports are on by default. To turn them off, open Settings › Diagnostics in Anti Tear and turn off Send error reports. While it’s off, nothing is sent, and turning it back on doesn’t send what happened in between.

Before a report leaves your PC, Anti Tear replaces the path of your Windows user folder, which usually contains your name, with %USERPROFILE%. Our server also removes anything that looks like a password or a token. Reports never include screenshots or video, and they don’t include your Discord account.

Logs you choose to send

Only when you choose Send logs… under Send logs to support in Settings › Diagnostics, Anti Tear uploads a log bundle, whatever the error report setting says. It has:

  • your PC’s name, the install ID, and the Anti Tear and Windows versions;
  • your licence in a few words: whether you’re signed in, your plan and its status, never who you are;
  • the note you add, if you add one;
  • Anti Tear’s state, your displays and their modes, and your settings, including your game profiles (such as a game’s .exe name);
  • the most recent part of Anti Tear’s log files.

Your user folder path is hidden in the bundle in the same way.

Update checks

Anti Tear asks our server for the newest version a minute after it starts, every 6 hours, and when you choose Check for updates. The check doesn’t include your account, your PC’s name or any ID.

This website

This website has no analytics, no cookies and no trackers. The download button gets the installer from our server. The Changelog page loads its release notes from GitHub’s public API, straight from your browser, so GitHub receives that request.

When you contact us

When you email us or open a ticket in our Discord, we get what you send: your email address or Discord username, your messages, and any files or log references you share.

Technical information

Like any website or online service, our hosting and our server process your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages, downloads and updates, and to limit abuse.

What stays on your PC

To do its job, Anti Tear reads your displays and your capture card, notices which game is running when you use game profiles, and captures your screen to show it on the capture card. That stays on your PC, except where it appears in an error report or a log bundle. What Anti Tear captures from your screen goes only to your capture card, never to us.

3. How we use it

  • To sign you in, and to keep your licence on one PC at a time.
  • To give each account and each PC one free trial.
  • To take payments and unlock projecting for your plan.
  • To answer support requests and fix problems in the app.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse, handle payment disputes and meet our accounting and legal obligations.

4. What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell your personal information, or share it for advertising.
  • There are no ads, analytics or trackers in the app or on this website.
  • We never receive what’s on your screen: no screenshots and no video.
  • We never see your full card number or your Discord password.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with the services we use to run Anti Tear, and only what each one needs:

  • Stripe processes payments and runs the billing page. You give your payment details to Stripe directly.
  • Discord handles sign-in. It also hosts our community server and support tickets.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website and carries traffic to our server.
  • Our hosting provider runs the server that keeps licences, error reports and logs.
  • GitHub serves the Changelog page’s release notes to your browser.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our customers or our business, for example in a payment dispute.

6. How long we keep it

  • Error reports and log bundles: 30 days, then deleted automatically.
  • Your PC’s link to your licence (its machine ID and name): while that PC holds your licence. Signing out, or moving your licence to another PC, removes the old link.
  • Free trial records: kept, so that each account and each PC gets only one trial.
  • Your Discord details, your plan, payment records and support messages: as long as we need them for your licence, support, accounting, tax and payment disputes.

Stripe and Discord keep their own records under their own privacy policies.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Error reports: turn off Send error reports in Settings › Diagnostics.
  • Logs: they’re sent only when you choose Send logs.
  • This PC’s link: choose Sign out in Settings › Account to remove it.
  • Billing details: Manage subscription in Settings › Account opens Stripe’s billing page, where you can change your email address, billing address and payment method.

You can also ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email support@yusatweaks.com from the address you pay with, or open a ticket in our Discord from the Discord account you sign in with, so we can confirm it’s you.

When we delete your information, we keep what we must for accounting, tax or an open payment dispute, and we tell you what we kept. Information held by Stripe and Discord is deleted under their own policies.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, such as to object to some uses of your information or to complain to a data protection authority.

8. Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections, licences signed by our server, and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong that affects your information, we’ll tell you.

9. Children

Anti Tear isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. To subscribe, you must be 18, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission.

10. Where your information is processed

We’re based in the United States and our providers operate around the world, so your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.

12. Contact
