Fixes for common problems, how to send us your logs, and how to reach us.

Common fixes

Try these first. Many fixes also arrive in updates, so keep Anti Tear up to date.

Windows doesn’t list your capture card as a display yet. Check these, then choose Scan again on Home:

  1. The HDMI cable goes from a GPU output to the card’s HDMI IN (not OUT).
  2. The streaming PC is on and the card is powered.
  3. The card’s own software isn’t holding its input open.

If Windows lists the card but Anti Tear doesn’t pick it, choose it yourself on the Output page: the display it’s plugged into, then its model.

Two things keep a card at 60 Hz:

  • Anti Tear doesn’t know the model, so it assumes 60 Hz capture. On the Output page, pick your card under Model.
  • Windows doesn’t offer the faster modes. The card tells Windows which modes it takes (its EDID). Change that in the card’s own software (on most Elgato and AVerMedia cards, set EDID Mode to Internal), then reconnect the HDMI cable.

The capture cards page has the exact setting for each card. Then choose Run setup in Settings › Advanced to pick the fastest mode again.

Anti Tear’s installer isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may say “Windows protected your PC”. Choose More info, then Run anyway.

Only download Anti Tear from the download page here. Updates are signed, and Anti Tear checks the signature before it installs one.

Your licence works on one PC at a time. To move it:

  1. On the new PC, open Anti Tear and choose Sign in with Discord.
  2. When it says your licence is on your other PC, choose Move here.

The other PC can’t start projecting after that. You can also free the licence first: on the old PC, open Settings › Account and choose Sign out…

When your free trial ends, Anti Tear still opens, but it won’t start projecting until you subscribe. Choose Subscribe on Home or in Settings › Account. There’s one trial per Discord account and one per PC.

If a renewal payment fails, Anti Tear keeps projecting for 2 days while the payment is retried. To change your card, choose Update card on Home, or Manage subscription in Settings › Account.

Just paid, and Anti Tear still asks you to subscribe? Choose I’ve subscribed, or wait a moment and try again.

Charges appear on your card statement as YUSATWEAKS.COM. In Anti Tear, Manage subscription in Settings › Account opens Stripe’s billing page. There you can cancel, change your card, email address or billing address, and see your invoices.

The plan and its price are on the Pricing page, and how refunds work is in the Refund Policy.
